Motor Vehicle Crash Results in DWI Arrest

Bedford, New Hampshire – On January 8, 2023 at approximately 8:30 PM, Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police Troop B Barracks in Bedford responded to the report of a motor vehicle crash along Interstate 293 North at mile marker 4.6 in the town of Bedford.

Upon arrival, Troopers located a 2010 silver Honda Civic with significant damage in the woods behind the guardrail off the right side of the roadway. It was determined that this vehicle had been operated by Marvin Collins, age 43, of Manchester, NH. Mr. Collins sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Troopers at the scene were assisted by members of the Bedford Fire Department and the Department of Transportation as the right lane in the area of this crash was closed for approximately two hours during this incident.

Impairment appears to be the primary contributing factor in this crash, and Mr. Collins was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Operating on a Suspended License.
