Box Truck Crashes, Damaging Guardrail

damaged box truck on interstate 89 in concordGrantham, New Hampshire – On March 22, 2023, at approximately 3:17 AM, State Police received calls about a box truck that left the roadway on I-89 northbound at mile marker 41.4. The box truck was traveling in the right lane as it approached a left-hand curve and swerved to avoid striking an animal in the roadway.As a result, the truck struck the right-hand guardrail for approximately 100 feet, damaging the guardrail and came to rest down the embankment. The driver was uninjured in the crash and was evaluated at the scene by Grantham Fire and Rescue. The interstate was temporarily shut down as well as the right lane for an extended period of time to safely remove the truck.

New Hampshire State Police Troop D was assisted on scene by Grantham Fire and Rescue, New Hampshire Department of Transportation, and Patten’s towing.
