Driver Arrested After Traveling 100 MPH On The F.E. Everett Turnpike

NASHUA, NH – A Litchfield man is facing multiple charges after he was observed at excessive speeds.
At approximately 1:15 p.m. today, April 5, 2025, Trooper Ryan Harkonen of the Troop B barracks was patrolling the F.E. Everett Turnpike South in Nashua when he witnessed a white Honda Accord being operated recklessly at 100 mph.
As Trooper Harkonen activated his emergency lights to conduct a traffic stop, he saw the driver swap seats with a juvenile passenger.
The driver of the Honda was ultimately identified as Mateo Hernandez, 20, of Litchfield. Hernandez was arrested and charged with reckless operation, operating without a license, and disobeying a police officer.
Hernandez was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, in Nashua District Court.
