Driver Deceased Following Rollover Crash In Bethlehem

Troop F

BETHLEHEM, NH – A Bethlehem man is deceased after a crash on Interstate 93.

At 6:16 p.m. today, Tuesday, April 8, 2025, Troopers assigned to the Troop F barracks responded to a crash on I-93 just south of Exit 40. Troopers arrived to find a 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue with extensive damage indicative of a rollover crash.

During the preliminary investigation, Troopers determined that the driver of the Oldsmobile was traveling south on I-93 when, for reasons that remain under investigation, the vehicle left the road and traveled into the median, where it then rolled several times before coming to rest on the northbound side of the median. The driver was thrown from the Oldsmobile during the crash and was pronounced deceased on the scene. He was later identified as Thomas Oakes, 26, of Bethlehem.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by members of the Littleton Police Department, Littleton Fire Rescue, Bethlehem Fire Department, and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.

All aspects of the crash remain under investigation. Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact Trooper Jacob Thomas at (603) 846-3333 or Jacob.M.Thomas@dos.nh.gov.
