Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision - Interstate 93 Southbound, Thornton

On Monday, October 11, 2021 at approximately 6:19p.m., the New Hampshire State Police-Troop F took the report of a single motorcycle crash on Interstate 93 Southbound, near Mile Marker 88.8 in the town of Thornton NH. Troopers arrived and the on-scene investigation revealed that a 1993 Honda Motorcycle had been traveling southbound on Interstate 93 when the operator lost control, went off the right side of the roadway subsequently striking a highway sign.

Roy Voisine, age: 54, Chester, Maine, was found to be the sole occupant of the motorcycle and sustained significant, fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene. Although all factors are still being considered, it appears that speed and alcohol are both contributing factors in this collision as a witness reported seeing the motorcycle operating erratically and traveling at a speed above the posted speed limit prior the crash. Anyone who witnessed the crash or may have further information is encouraged to contact Trooper Michael Bruno at 603-223-3796 or michael.bruno@dos.nh.gov.

The New Hampshire State Police-Troop F was assisted on scene by members of the Campton Police Department, Campton -Thornton Fire Rescue, the Grafton County Attorney’s Office and the Office of the State Medical Examiner.
