Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash - Dorchester

Dorchester, New Hampshire – On Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at approximately 4:29 AM, the New Hampshire State Police Troop F barracks took a report of a single motor vehicle crash on Route 118 in the town of Dorchester. When first responders arrived, they observed a single vehicle found on its driver’s side in a ditch, off the west side of Route 118 in the area of Paul Smith Road.

On-scene investigation revealed that a 2018 Toyota Highlander operated by Alexandra Paige Sutfin Vanzandt, Age: 26, Canaan, NH, was traveling southbound and drifted off the west side of Route 118. The vehicle struck an earth embankment and became airborne, before coming to a final rest on the driver’s side of the vehicle.

Ms. Vanzandt was given medical attention, but was pronounced deceased at the scene.

New Hampshire State Police – Troop F was assisted on scene by members of Canaan Fire Rescue.

At this time, the investigation is ongoing, but speed does appear to be a factor in this collision. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Trooper Jawara Conde at (603) 223-6183 or Jawara.G.Conde@dos.nh.gov.
