Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash in Madison
Madison, New Hampshire – On Sunday, August 21, 2022, at approximately 3:47 PM, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department received multiple reports of a single motor vehicle crash on Route 16 in Madison. First responders arrived on scene, within minutes of the call, and discovered a late model Chevrolet Tahoe on its roof with three people ejected from the vehicle.
On-scene investigation revealed that the late model Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling southbound when it lost control and rolled over. Three adults were ejected from the vehicle and sustained serious injuries. One adult was transported to Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced deceased while the other male and female adults were flown to Maine Medical in severe condition. Five children were inside the vehicle and sustained minor injuries. Preliminary investigation revealed that the three adults were not wearing their seat belts.
Members of the New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction (C.A.R.) Unit, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department, Madison Police Department, Conway Police Department, Conway Fire Department, Madison Fire Department, Action Ambulance, and a number of good Samaritans assisted New Hampshire State Police - Troop E on scene. The New Hampshire State Police are especially grateful for the efforts of the good Samaritans who rendered first aid and aided the children.

Update
On August 24, 2022, Michael Seibel, age 44, of North Conway, New Hampshire passed away at Maine Medical from injuries sustained in the crash. On August 25, 2022, Ann-Marie Sargent, age 40, of Albany, New Hampshire passed away at Maine Medical from injuries sustained in the crash.
The deceased has been identified as Kevin Sargent, age 44, of Albany, New Hampshire.
