Four Arrested During Saturation Patrol

Troop B

BEDFORD, N.H. – Four drivers were arrested during a saturation patrol carried out by members of the New Hampshire State Police assigned to the Troop B barracks.

On the night of Friday, August 16, 2024, State Troopers conducted high visibility patrols to deter and detect impaired drivers. Additional directed patrols were added for enforcement to apprehend impaired and aggressive drivers. The initiative was carried out in partnership with the New Hampshire Office of Highway Safety as part of the national Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign.

During the saturation patrol effort, 101 vehicles were stopped and four arrests were made. Two people were arrested for DWI and two others were arrested for suspended licenses and possession of drugs. No impaired driver-related crashes were reported during the patrol.

The following individuals were arrested during the patrol:

  • Charles Sibanda, 26, of Salem, NH - DWI, open container;
  • Nyaja Gilchrist, 20, of Peterborough, NH – Operating after suspension, speeding and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle;
  • Mario Colecchia, 33, of Manchester, NH – DWI, open container; and
  • Marissa Anderson, 38, of Boston, MA – Operating after suspension, transporting drugs in a vehicle.

Troopers will continue conducting similar enforcement efforts throughout the state.
