Impaired Driving Initiative - Greater Manchester Area

On Saturday evening, April 2nd, troopers from NH State Police Troop-B along with officers from the Manchester Police Department took part in a coordinated patrol in an effort to identify and apprehend impaired drivers in the City of Manchester and greater Hillsborough County. As a result of their efforts, the following arrests were made:

  1. Tad Hitt, age 45, New Ipswich, NH – Driving While Intoxicated
  2. Nicholas Hendel, age 43, Merrimack, NH – Driving While Intoxicated
  3. Nichelle Bell, age 44, Manchester NH, – Superior Court Warrant (Fail to Appear)

These coordinated patrols were funded by the New Hampshire Office of Highway Safety, which provides funding to state, local and county police officers in an effort to identify those that drive impaired, over posted speed limits as well as those driving distracted.
