Motor Vehicle Crash on Interstate 93 South

On 07/29/21, at approximately 12:15 P.M., the New Hampshire State Police received a 911 call of a multi-car crash on Interstate 93 south in Hooksett, NH, near the toll plaza. When troopers arrived on scene, they discovered that there were four vehicles involved.

Preliminary investigation determined that a tractor-trailer unit with an open box type trailer struck a Dodge sedan from behind. As a result of this, the sedan was pushed into the rear of a Chevrolet suburban. Additionally, The tractor-trailer unit also side swiped a Subaru sedan as it was slowing to a stop.  

The tractor-trailer is owned by Peter J. Osbourne Transportation of Pittsfield, NH. The lone operator of the box truck was identified as:
Timothy Bultman of Rochester, NH
Age: 37

Four people were transported to two separate area hospitals for evaluation and treatment regarding a varying array of injuries, none of which appeared to life threatening.
Due to the multi-car crash, Exit 11 and all of the cash lanes for the Hooksett Toll Plaza were shut down until the vehicles could be removed and the roadway cleaned of debris and fluids.

The NH DOT assisted State Police at the scene. Troop G also responded to the scene to conduct a Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspection of the tractor-trailer unit and the driver.  The crash is still under investigation at this time.  Anyone who witnessed the crash is encouraged to contact Trooper Ryan St. Cyr of the New Hampshire State Police, Troop D at (603) 223-3654.
