Nashua Man Indicted on Identity Fraud Charges

Elinson Ruiz Pena booking photoConcord, NH – On April 12, 2022, detectives of the New Hampshire State Police, Troop G – Investigations Unit secured an indictment on Elinson Ruiz Pena, 36, last known address of Nashua, New Hampshire. Investigators had discovered that Pena had submitted fraudulent documents to the Division of Motor Vehicles in order to obtain a NH driver license with the intent to conceal or misrepresent his identity.

An indictment was secured in Merrimack County Superior Court for the charge of Identity Fraud, a class A felony. Other charges include Tampering with Public Records, Unsworn Falsification, and Forgery. A New England Wide extraditable warrant is in effect for Pena.

The New Hampshire State Police Troop G – Investigations Unit is comprised of highly skilled Troopers who are assigned to the Division of Motor Vehicles. They have received specialized training in the detection of fraudulent documentation and are often called upon for their expertise in this area.
