New Hampshire State Police and Manchester Police Department Participate in a Joint Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement Effort
On April 12, 2022, members of the New Hampshire State Police conducted a joint commercial motor vehicle enforcement effort with members of the Manchester Police Department.
The operation, which ran from 8:00AM until 12:00PM, included Troopers from the Troop G, Motor Carrier Enforcement Unit and the Manchester Police Department, Traffic Enforcement Unit. The purpose of the collaborative effort was to increase visibility of commercial motor vehicle enforcement within the city.
The four-hour operation produced the following results:
- 15 commercial motor vehicle inspections.
- 18 violations discovered including both equipment and driver.
- 2 commercial motor vehicles placed out-of-service for equipment violations identifying them as being unsafe for the roadway.
- 4 commercial motor vehicle weight checks.
Troop G, located in Concord, provides statewide coverage for commercial motor vehicle enforcement. It is comprised of the most highly trained and experienced commercial motor vehicle examiners in the state of New Hampshire who are certified by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
