Concord, NH – On April 14, 2022, at approximately 12:20 AM, Trooper Brandon Rivard of the New Hampshire State Police, Troop D Barracks attempted to stop a 2013 Dodge Sedan traveling northbound on Interstate 93 in Bow. The vehicle was observed to be traveling in excess of the posted speed limit and committed multiple lane violations. As Trooper Rivard activated his emergency lights to conduct a stop, the vehicle and its occupants fled, reaching speeds of 115 mph north of the 89 Junction.

Troopers deployed stop sticks in the area immediately south of the Exit 16 off ramp. The operator of the vehicle lost control as he attempted to avoid the stop sticks. Troopers managed to successfully deflate one tire in the process. The vehicle went off the road into the median that separates the mainline from the Exit 16 off ramp.

The driver of the vehicle subsequently bailed on foot following the crash, fleeing off the highway in the direction of Merrill Park in Concord. The State Police K9 Unit was deployed in the area but was unable to locate the driver. There is no reason to believe the suspect poses any threat to the public. The driver of the vehicle left behind 100 grams of suspected fentanyl. Troopers have a person of interest in this incident. This event remains under investigation. Troopers ask that anyone that may have witnessed this incident contact Trooper Rivard at 603-223-6915 or brandon.j.rivard@dos.nh.gov.
