photo of trooper gary parkerTrooper Gary P. Parker, 30, was born in Tarrytown, NY. He also lived in Gloucester, MA, before moving to Wolfeboro, NH in 1969. In 1978, he graduated from Kingswood Regional High School. He later graduated from Johnson State College in Vermont.

He worked as a full-time patrolman for the Wolfeboro Police Department for four years and in 1986 he was hired by the New Hampshire State Police. While with the State Police he was assigned to Troop B, and eventually he was transferred to Troop E. He was also assigned to the DWI Unit in Concord for some time.

Trooper Parker resided in Wolfeboro with his wife Amy and son Gregory. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed skiing as well.

Trooper Parker died in a car crash, when his cruiser was hit by a truck hauling lumber. Fellow Trooper Gearty and a prisoner were killed in the crash as well. He is sorely missed by his family, fellow Troopers, and the members of the Wolfeboro Police Department.
