NORTHWOOD, New Hampshire - On October 20, 2023, at approximately 7:00 a.m., Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police Troop G Motor Carrier Enforcement Unit, were requested to assist members of the Northwood Police Department with a commercial motor vehicle crash on First New Hampshire Turnpike in the area of the Barn Dog Inn. Upon arrival, Troopers observed a dump truck which had sustained significant damage after striking numerous trees and other objects, as it came to final rest in the wood line.  The vehicle, a 2000 Sterling, was driven by:

Jickler Gomez
Age: 48

Investigation revealed that the operator was traveling east on Route 4 when he drifted off into the dirt shoulder, overcorrected, and traveled across the westbound lane, off the roadway and into the woods. Gomez was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The roadway was limited to a single lane, as crews worked to safely remove the dump truck from the scene.

State Police is requesting that anyone who may have information, or witnessed the crash, contact the Northwood Police Department at (603) 942-8284.
