Escape - Calumet Transitional Housing Unit located at 126 Lowell Street in Manchester

On June 23, 2019 at approximately 2330 hours, George Johnson, a resident at the New Hampshire State Prison Calumet Transitional House, was placed on escape status after he failed to return from a scheduled outing. Johnson is currently serving a sentence for burglary.

On June 25, 2019, Investigators from the New Hampshire State Police, Major Crime Unit and New Hampshire Department of Corrections, Investigative Bureau obtained information regarding JOHNSON's whereabouts.

Johnson was later observed walking in the area of Granite Street in Manchester. Shortly after, Johnson was taken into custody in the area of Douglas street by the Manchester Police Department.
