Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash - Westmoreland

• Westmoreland, New Hampshire – On August 12, 2022 at approximately 3:40 PM, Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police Troop C barracks were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle collision on Rte. 12 in Westmoreland in the area north of Capron Road. On scene investigation determined that a 2009 Suzuki SX4 driven by: Sharon McLaughlin, Age 72, Claremont, NH, was traveling southbound when it crossed the yellow line and struck a 2021 Toyota Venza, occupied by: Zachary Turpin (Driver), Age 33, Franklin, MA and Jillian Turpin (Passenger), Age 29, Franklin, MA.

Ms. McLaughlin was pronounced deceased at the scene. Mr. and Mrs. Turpin were transported to Cheshire Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The New Hampshire State Police were assisted on scene by the Walpole Police Department, Westmoreland Fire & Rescue, Keene Fire Department, and DiLuzio Ambulance Service.
