Motor Vehicle Crash, Route 16, Rochester, NH

On May 14, 2020, at approximately 1800 hours, Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police-Troop A barracks responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on Route 16, at exit 16, in the City of Rochester.

Preliminary investigation shows that a 2003 Harley Davidson FLHRC-1 was being driven northbound before losing control. The driver, 50 year-old Anthony Krasny of Gonic, struck the median cement barriers multiple times before laying the motorcycle down in the high speed breakdown lane. Reasons for the loss of control remain under investigation and Krasny was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. Krasny was transported to the Frisbie Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

All northbound lanes of travel were closed for approximately 10 minutes until traffic could be diverted off of exit 15.

These events remain under investigation by Trooper Jonathan Minnich. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Trooper Minnich, via email, at Jonathan.Minnich@dos.nh.gov.
