Motor Vehicle Pursuit

HOPKINTON, New Hampshire - On February 10, 2024, at approximately 11:25 p.m., Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police Troop D barracks were called on to assist Henniker and Hopkinton Police Departments with a motor vehicle pursuit that had traveled through their towns after a vehicle failed to stop for officers attempting to conduct a stop for motor vehicle violations. The vehicle was reported to be traveling over 100 MPH and was exhibiting lane control issues. The suspect vehicle ultimately made its way to Interstate 89 South in the town of Hopkinton. Shortly after the vehicle got on to Interstate 89 South, Troop D Troopers assumed control and initiated a motor vehicle pursuit. The vehicle was identified as a: 

2017 Hyundai Tuscan
Color: Gray

Almost immediately, Troopers were able to utilize tire deflation devices to successfully disable the vehicle, forcing it to stop in the area of Exit 1 on Interstate 89 South. The operator of the vehicle was taken into custody without incident. The vehicle was found to be stolen and the operator of the vehicle was identified as a juvenile. 

The juvenile was charged with the following:
Receiving Stolen Property 
Reckless Conduct with a Deadly Weapon
Disobeying a Police Officer 
Reckless Operation
Operating without a Valid License
