Motor Vehicle Pursuit and Crash

BEDFORD, New Hampshire – On January 15, 2024, at approximately 8:43 a.m., Trooper Shane Mason of the New Hampshire State Police Troop B Barracks conducted a motor vehicle stop, for a number of violations, on a Silver Hyundai Santa Fe on the F.E. Everett Turnpike South in Bedford at Exit 13. Upon exiting his cruiser and approaching the vehicle, the operator fled the traffic stop. 

Trooper Mason pursued the vehicle onto Raymond Wieczorek Drive where the vehicle reversed direction and headed back towards the F.E. Everett Turnpike North. The pursuit continued onto the F.E. Everett Turnpike and then onto Interstate 293 North. The suspect vehicle then exited onto Interstate 93 South. Shortly thereafter, Troopers discovered that the suspect vehicle had crashed on the Interstate 93 9S off-ramp. The operator of the suspect vehicle was able to self-extricate from the vehicle, which had overturned, and was subsequently evaluated by EMS and, after being medically cleared, was taken into custody.

MUISE was charged with Reckless Conduct with a Deadly Weapon, Disobeying a Police Officer, Operating a vehicle without an Alcohol Ignition Interlock device, Operating After Suspension for DUI, Operating a vehicle with a Suspended Registration, Misuses of Plate, and a Defective Equipment violation.  MUISE was released on bail with a Merrimack District Court arraignment date of March 26, 2024. 

The State Police were assisted at the crash by Hooksett Fire and Police.
