Reckless Operation Arrest

Operator Observed Traveling 137MPH in a 65MPH Zone

Darryl Germain booking photoGreenland, New Hampshire – On November 12, 2022 at approximately 2:46 AM, Trooper Cameron Vetter, of the New Hampshire State Police Troop A Barracks, was on routine patrol when he observed a 2021 Nissan Armada traveling at a high rate of speed along Interstate 95 North in the Town of Greenland.

Trooper Vetter subsequently confirmed the speed of the vehicle at 137MPH in a 65MPH speed limit zone. Trooper Vetter initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and thereafter identified the operator of the vehicle as Darryl Germain, Age 20, of Portland, Maine.

During the traffic stop, Trooper Vetter noticed an opened bottle of an alcoholic beverage in the backseat of the vehicle, which was later seized as evidence. Ultimately, Germain was taken into custody and charged with Reckless Operation and Transportation of Alcoholic Beverages by a Minor. Following processing, GERMAIN was released on personal recognizance bail pending an appearance in the 10th Circuit Court – District Division – Portsmouth on December 19, 2022 at 8:00 AM.

State Police reminds all motorists to obey posted speed limits and to drive with courtesy and care on New Hampshire roadways.
