Serious Motor Vehicle Crash

ASHLAND, New Hampshire – On Thursday, January 25, 2024, at approximately 11:01 a.m., the New Hampshire State Police Troop F barracks received a report of a multiple vehicle crash on Interstate 93 North in the town of Ashland, NH. When first responders arrived, they observed three vehicles scattered along both northbound lanes of I-93, at mile marker 76. 

On scene investigation revealed that a 2020 Chevy Equinox operated by:

Elizabeth Bourbeau
Age: 40
Laconia, NH

was traveling northbound on I-93 when it struck a section of guardrail, for an unknown reason, which caused the vehicle to come to rest facing southbound in the roadway and was subsequently struck by a 1996 Peterbuilt, John.G.Fagerholm@dos.nh.govhauling woodchips, traveling northbound behind the Chevy that was operated by:

Scott Shields
Age: 68
Campton, NH

The Peterbuilt continued in motion where it struck a second vehicle, a 2011 Ford F-150, also traveling northbound, operated by:

Jeffrey Dulude
Age: 56
Attleboro, MA
Ms. Bourbeau suffered life threatening injuries and was MedFlighted from the scene to Concord Hospital for medical treatment. Mr. Shields and Mr. Dulude did not sustain any reported injuries at the time of the crash. 

New Hampshire State Police Troop F was assisted on scene by members of Ashland Fire Rescue, Dartmouth Hitchcock Advanced Response Team (DHART), Ashland Police Department, New Hampton Police Department, New Hampshire Department of Transportation and New Hampshire State Police Troop G.
