Troopers Respond to Three-Vehicle Crash during Evening Commute

Merrimack, New Hampshire – On October 5, 2022 at approximately 5:50 PM, Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police Troop B Barracks in Bedford responded to the report of a three-vehicle crash involving injury. The crash blocked two of the northbound lanes in the area of Exit 10 on the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Merrimack.

The preliminary investigation indicates that traffic had slowed to a near stop as a result of the light rain and a heavy evening commute. The driver of a 2020 Range Rover, Anil Patel, age 50, of Nashua, is believed to have traveled at an unsafe speed upon approach of the slowdown at Exit 10. Patel rear-ended a Toyota Tundra driven by Ashlee Fosher, age 32, of Manchester, causing Fosher'S pick-up to collide with a Nissan Rogue, which was operated by Jennifer Farmer, age 50, of Manchester.

Patel and Fosher were transported to area hospitals where they were treated for minor injuries.

The left lane of the Turnpike was shut down for approximately one hour while crews worked to remove the vehicles.

Anyone with information regarding the crash is asked to contact Trooper Luan Sanches at (603) 223-8492 or by email at Luan.G.Sanches@dos.nh.gov.
