Wanted Man Located Deceased

Troop C

MARLOW, N.H. – A suspect State Troopers had been searching for over the weekend has been found deceased.

On Saturday, May 25, Troopers from the Troop C barracks responded to an incident on Route 10 in Marlow. Troopers determined Brian Roffer, 44, of Marlow, had committed various crimes, including criminal threatening with a deadly weapon.

During the investigation, Troopers received information indicating Roffer may be armed and alone in a heavily wooded area. Troopers took measures to ensure the safety of the reported victims, and obtained search and arrest warrants for Roffer. However, after hours of efforts to locate him were unsuccessful, the active search was ultimately suspended.

On Sunday, May 26, Troopers located Roffer deceased in a wooded area behind his home. A medical examiner determined he died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot. No one else was hurt during the incident.
